Corokia Geentys Green produces masses of bright yellow star-shaped flowersthat brighten up the shrubbery adding interest during spring and summer.The abundance of berries produced following flowering are brightly colouredand attract many native birds. A New Zealand Native, slender and compact,evergreen and hardy, the Geentys Green Corokia grows to 1.5-2m with aspread of 1-1.5m but can be clipped at any height. The large lightolive-green leaves makes Corokia Geentys Green an excellent screening orhedge shrub. They are also a good specimen in coastal, dry or frosty areasas they are very tough and able to withstand dry, cold and windyconditions. Prefers full sun but will tolerate shady positions also.Corokias will stay reasonably compact and maintain good form but lightclipping from time to time will greatly enhance their appearance whilstalso responding well to strong clipping making them an ideal shrub forshaping or hedging. They form an interesting and beautifully dense hedge,from very low to medium height.
