We take an artisan approach to our production of small skin products. A four-stage tanning process ensures the skins are both luxurious and durable meeting the exact needs of international customers. While the process is time consuming, a focus on technique and quality control ensures the final products meet customer specifications. Nichols is one of very few tanneries in the world to completely control its raw material supply.
History of Nichols
Nichols (NZ) Ltd is a subsidiary company of the United Kingdom-based LH Nichols Limited. The New Zealand operation began in the 1970s as a slink skin business and was bought by the parent company in 2000. This has allowed expansion into the tanning division and consolidated its reputation as a quality supplier. The parent company has operated since the 1950s supplying high quality garment and clothing selections to worldwide markets. Nichols (NZ) Ltd has a well established customer base in Australasia, North and South America, Europe and Asia. We offer manufacturers high quality finished leathers and supplied other tanners with carefully selected and graded raw material.
