Covered in stunning clusters of lightly-scented salmon trumpet-shapedflowers with white overtones and a yellow blotch at the ends of thebranches in mid spring, which emerge from distinctive crimson flower budsbefore the leaves. It has green foliage throughout the season. The narrowleaves turn an outstanding yellow in the fall. The fruit is notornamentally significant. Kathleen Azalea is an open multi-stemmeddeciduous shrub with an upright spreading habit of growth. Its relativelycoarse texture can be used to stand it apart from other landscape plantswith finer foliage. This is a relatively low maintenance shrub, andshould only be pruned after flowering to avoid removing any of the currentseason's flowers. It has no significant negativecharacteristics.

Garden Use
soak the roots for approx 2hrs before planting and water well after planting and for the next fewweeks. Choose a sheltered position in sun to light shade. Prepare plantingsite well by adding plenty of peaty potting compost. Ensure the rootball is no more than 3cm below the surface of the soil. (If it is plantedtoo deep it can stunt the growth or even kill the plant) Azaleas willthrive in acidic, moist, but well drained soil. Azalea Mollis will growto a height of 1.4m and has fragrant flowers in late spring followed byrich foliage. Prune by breaking off dead flowers with your fingers.
