PlantingGuide
Leyland Cypress cope with most soils types including wet onesand can tolerate air pollution and its rapid growth will cause a Leylandiihedge to become unsightly if not clipped regularly. If left unchecked, theywill not then rejuvenate even if cut back hard, but with proper treatmentthey can form a very effective hedge no more than 2-2.5m high but 0.6-1mthick. Growth can be somewhat thin if planted in shade and badlydrained soils. 'Haggerston Grey' has grey-green foliage which is seen tobest advantage when interplanted with golden varieties of leylandii as ascreen or windbreak.
