Prunus Shirotae is also known by its common name, Mount Fuji Cherry. It is a very elegant and rich flowering cherry blooming before the leaves in mid spring with large, single or semi double, pure white flower with a sweet fragrance. Growing to a width of 10m (30ft) it has a flat topped appearance and a maximum height of 8m (25ft).
