The Prunus Shimidsu Sakura is a graceful weeping flowering cherry tree that is semi-upright with wide spreading arching branches becoming more pendulous as the tree matures forming a flat top tree. It produces stunning clusters of pink buds opening to large double white blooms. Hanging in clusters under the branches, they are very attractive.

This variety of Shimidsu Sakura is grafted onto a hardier rootstock at 1.8mhigh, decreasing the chance of disease and improving the shape. Planting Guide
Plant infull sun or part shade. Frost hardy. Grows best in a free draining soilrich in organic matter. Dig a hole that is at least twice as wide and twiceas deep as the pot your plant came in. Backfill hole with a mix of topsoil, compost, and sheep pellets or use a Garden Mix instead of top soil.Carefully remove the pot gently from the plant. Plant at the same depth asit was in the pot. In heavier soils it can be planted into a slight moundto help improve the drainage. Feed with fertiliser. CARE Mulch to helpsuppress weeds and reduce watering needs. FERTILISING Help feed theplant and improve the soil by feeding with Sheep Pellets and a GardenBooster. Feed in early spring, and again in autumn.
