PlantingGuide
Diascia Darla Appleblossom is a full to part sun annual thatthrives in the spring and autumn. Plant in mid-spring or early summer, after the threat of frost has passed. Diascia will last from late spring, through the summer, until the finish of autumn. They are good pioneerplants in the garden, until other plants become moreestablished. Diascia Darla Appleblossom is a low maintenance plant thatdoes well in the heat. While it has a high tolerance level, regular waterapplication is recommended, especially during the hot summer months. Also, fertilizer or compost application will ensure optimal plant performance.Apply fertiliser low to the ground, near the plant’s main stem, avoidingwetting the plant’s foliage, for quick absorption and utilization. Diasciarequires a good moisture level but must also be well drained. It isimportant to ensure good drainage in both containers and landscaping, toprevent diseases like root rot. Drainage holes, elevated flower gardens, and proper soil composition are three great ways to prevent root rot andhelp your plants maintain a healthy moisture level. While the plantdoes not require deadheading, if it begins to look messy in the heat, trimthem back and continue watering. After pinching back, your plant shouldbegin to bloom again within 1–2 weeks.
