Gaura lindheimeri ‘Freefolk Rosy’ has undeniably pretty bi-coloured bloomsopening from red buds. The new shoots of foliage are quite strongly yellowvariegated but as the leaves mature and the flowers develop, thevariegation becomes a subtle silvery cream edge on grey-green leaves. Incooler weather it can take on burgundy tints. Freefolk Rosy is reasonablyhardy given a sunny position, sharp drainage and shelter from cooler windsof winter. Quite fast growing so allow enough space – it will flop if notsupported. Very long flowering through summer until the first frosts. Growsup to 60cm tall with a spread of 40cm.
