A dense growing evergreen shrub with glossy bright green leaves, Griselinialittoralis makes an excellent coastal hedge and is hardy in all but thecoldest regions. May suffer frost damage to young, early growth in inlandareas. For a good dense low hedge plant at around 60cm apart. For tallerhedges you can space Griselinia littoralis at 80cm. Griselinia littoraliswill reach up to 3m but easy pruning will keep it at 1-2m.
Planting Guide
This is a fast growing plant, putting on50cm a year. Prune half of the growth back each year to create a densebushy habit. Once established to its desired height, prune once a year inearly spring, perhaps with a tidy up in early summer.
