Hebes need free-draining soil that is constantlymoist, poor- medium fertile, and slightly acidic to slightly alkaline. Theyrequire good mulching at all times. Hardy on sites sheltered from strong,drying winds and hidden from direct winter sunlight, adult hebes usuallyregenerate readily after harsh winter damage if they are well-established.
Instructions
Hebes can be grown as a single specimen orplanted in groups for great effect. With regular trimming they can form anattractive informal hedge or border and an interesting arrangment in anygarden. Very hardy it is well suited to containers, borders and landscapeplantings, requiring little or no maintenance and is drought tolerant.Hebes are also excellent specimens for pots and planters as well asrockeries, where they fill in the dips between rocksperfectly.
