The dense bushy habit of the Elaeagnus x ebbingei makes it an idealevergreen hedge for gardens and will present with insignificant but highlyscented flowers in Autumn and berries in the Spring. It is hardy, fastgrowing, extremely salt tolerant and will grow near the water's edge andinland and can take shade. It will grow in poor soils but does requirefree-draining ground and will not do well on damp sites. Grows to 4m talland 4 metres spread.
